  • ?That number is too even? can you make the next one even odder??
  • The thing about math is that it?s right or wrong, on or off, yes or no. Seven is a prime number, there?s no improving it.

Life & Business Are Not Math? / Business Innovation

  • The thing about life/business/culture and the things we make and do is that they are not math.

Meet? The Dynamic Numbers? / Business Innovation

  • globalnewspointer.net: Seth Godin is sending a simple but practical message here: Yes you can improve your life. Yes you can improve your business.
  • If?You want to! The nature of a number in practical real terms is simply static. A seven it will be always a seven. Our lives seem to be static?
  • Finally, you and all of us we have to make the decision, then have a vision, then create a plan and implement it. By producing value, the numbers in our lives may be dynamic? / Business Innovation /

Small Business PR & The Oscars | Understanding Marketing

small business PRThe last week of February is always exciting for restaurants and bars because St. Patrick?s Day is just a few weeks away. Irish-themed businesses are proud of their heritage and they always plan for lots of small business PR coverage this time of year. St. Patrick?s Day, in addition to a handful of other stories, highlight our small business PR PITCH tips this week. The small business PR ?PITCH? series helps entrepreneurs with weekly story ideas that help them create ?publicity ideas that create headlines.?

Social Media & The Oscars: The buzz around this year?s Oscars wasn?t necessarily the Oscars themselves. The buzz was actually all the social media chatter taking place online about the Oscars, before, during and after the awards gala. Of course, Angelina Jolie?s right leg cause a bit of stir, too, but we?ll let another blog talk about that. Social media experts and entrepreneurs seeking small business PR should be weighing in on all the chatter, talking about how Twitter and social media continues to change the way Americans view and discuss events such as the Oscars.

WikiLeaks Releases Emails: Wikileaks is at it again, this time publishing secret emails from an intelligence firm that unveils Fortune-500 companies as sources and subscribers illustrating the murky world of corporate donors to organizations with ties to the Middle East. Any experts, authors or entrepreneurs that can weigh in on email security, Internet intelligence and data security, as well as the ongoing WikiLeaks saga, should be pitching stories to the media for small business PR this week about ramifications and perspective.

Bank Customers Switch Banks: A new J.D. Power & Associates study released this week addresses how higher bank fees and poor customer service have prompted nearly ten percent of total customers to switch their bank during the last twelve months - the largest rate ever seen by the industry. All banking experts should be contacting their local media offering up expert analysis on the matter talking about the impact these fees have on customers and what it means to the industry.

Pending Home Sales Rise: According to the National Association of Realtors, demand and sales of existing homes were at their highest rate since January 2007 during the month of February, raising hope that a real estate rebound is starting to become reality. Realtors and other industry experts can weigh in on the subject with small business PR coverage by talking about ultra-local trends being seen within their communities. Experts should also contact national media producers and real estate reporters to offer up evidence that supports or contradicts this assessment.

Looking Forward Thought - St. Patrick?s Day: March 17th is always St. Patrick?s Day, a wonderful celebration of Irish heritage. It is no secret that restaurants and bars, particularly Irish-themed restaurants, bars and pubs, are in the spotlight during St.Patrick?s Day. This week any and all owners of these establishments should have the plans in place, and begin thinking of how to communicate these plans to the local media. Press releases with creative headlines, story pitches and tip sheets should all be used to generate small business PR coverage within local communities.

Are you planning small business PR coverage around any specific stories this week? Please leave a comment below and share with the community.

Finance And Business | An Alternative to Debt Consolidation :: By ...

Being in debt is not fun. Most of the time we don?t realize how deep in debt we are until the creditors start calling everyday insisting that we make full payment at the soonest possible. When the creditors come knocking, we often go into a state of panic as we do not have the faintest idea on how to quickly pay off the creditors without causing a huge dent in our financial situation. We rationalize that the only way to at least address the problem is to see the creditors or their representatives personally to discuss on the best way to solve the issue. But on the other hand, we do not have the experience or the expertise to negotiate with creditors so meeting them would feel so much like being put in the line of fire.

Before you even think of picking up the phone to set up an appointment with your creditors, you might want to do your homework on the various solutions available for you to settle your debts. One of the most widely known solutions to paying off debts is debt consolidation. Basically you will be taking a loan to pay off your existing debts. Now before you get too excited, you should weigh the pros and cons of taking on another loan. After all, the goal here is to be debt free for the rest of your life, not to replace your existing ones with another.

There is no one debt consolidation formula that suits all sorts of financial problems. So you really have to familiarize yourself with several options of taking on new loans to pay your existing debts. It is always advisable for you to get advice from financial consultants so you won?t be making decisions too blindly. Some companies offer free advice so you can utilize their knowledge for you to make an informed decision.

One of the questions you probably would want to ask is ?How do I consolidate my debt?? You need to consider the best possible option to keep your debts manageable even after consolidation. If you engage a third party to handle this issue for you, usually for a certain fee, your appointed credit consultant will play the part of negotiator and set a meeting with your creditors to discuss the best possible option to reduce your debts. If your creditors agree to your debt settlement offer, your credit consultant will then restructure your monthly payment requirement. In some cases, your creditor might insist for you to pay the lump sum of your agreed reduced debt.

This is usually when your credit consultant would probably advise you to take on a loan to pay your creditors. Check out banks that offer lower interest rates so you won?t face bigger problems in paying them back. However, bank loans are not your only option so be sure to explore all other possibilities such as ?cash-out? refinancing, refinancing your car or even taking out a home equity loan.

If you have more than just one creditor to pay, your appointed credit consultant will negotiate with all of them until they agree to reduce your debt as much as possible. Your consultant will then restructure your debts and combine them all into one single entity. This way, you will not have to apply several different loans to pay off each of your creditors. You just have to apply for one loan sufficient to cover all your debts with various creditors. By paying off this one loan, your consultant will then distribute the payments to respective creditors according to the agreed monthly amount on your behalf. You must remember that this does not mean you are totally off the hook because you have to consistently pay off your consolidation loan. Low interests are still interests and once they accumulate they will amount to a bigger number; perhaps bigger than the root amount of your loan if you are not careful.

When you?ve gone through the entire process, you need to conduct your own review. Look back and question yourself ?Did I successfully consolidate my debt or did I end up stepping into another financial disaster?? Check with your appointed consultant often to ensure that your debts are being paid off as planned and that you are disciplined enough to follow through with what was planned and agreed by you and your consultant.

It?s a tough time to sell your home and most of us that own a home are in search of anything to help make our homes more interesting to a potential buyer.

These are a few cost-effective options for sprucing up your home and increase your chance of selling it.

Repair Damaged Items:? Most homebuyers are very turned off of your home if there are obvious problem spots. Outside, replace missing gutters and fix broken cement walkways or damaged hand rails. Indoors, fill holes in walls, replace cracked tiles, and have your carpets professionally cleaned.

Make sure everything works:? If you can show buyers that your dishwasher or your homes heating and air conditioning system works will help the house sell. Some Phoenix HVAC companies will inspect your furnace, air conditioner or entire system and write a report indicating its condition. If your system is in good condition, this will inspire confidence in a potential buyer and give the impression youve gone the extra mile to maintain your home. If you have service or maintenance records from an HVAC contractor be sure to make those available for inspection.

Increase Your Curb Appeal: ?This starts with curb appeal and follows the potential home-buyers right inside. Adding new siding and a roof are not cost effective if you plan to sell your home. Improvements that do will be cost effective include a new layer of seal coat on your asphalt driveway, plant pretty flowers or bushes, or removing unsightly fencing or sheds. Indoors, replace the hardware on your cabinets or add new paint in the main rooms like the den or bedrooms. Make rooms like larger with less furniture and clutter.

Some homeowners purchase a home warranty policy to supply to the buyer. It covers a wide range of repairs including plumbing, appliances, the heating and air conditioning system, the roof and siding, and much more. These are pretty inexpensive and make potential buyers more comfortable with your homes condition.

Please visit the Phoenix HVAC Guide if you are in need of gas furnace prices, equipment reviews or helpful resources when choosing your next heating & air conditioning system.

89% Miss Bala

In "Miss Bala," Laura(Stephanie Sigman), a 23-year old shop girl, and her friend Suzu(Lakshmi Picazo) sign up for a beauty pageant, Miss Baja California. That night instead of shopping for a dress, Suzu drags her friend along to a nightclub. Bored, Laura wanders off where she is found by a gunman who asks her questions about who is inside, gives her a little money and tells her to get lost. Well, not before Laura can get Suzu out but they become separated once the shooting starts and Laura makes it to safety out a window. The following morning Suzu is still missing and Laura does the sensible thing in going to a policeman. But instead of taking her to a police station, he takes her to Lino(Noe Hernandez), the criminal leader, who asks her what she knows before inquiring if she can drive a car. There are statistics given at the end of "Miss Bala" about how many people have died in the drug wars in northern Mexico. Now, using a beauty pageant may seem like a screwy way at first to get there but according to the literature, a beauty queen is supposed to represent her subjects and Laura does, if you mean her subjects include those trapped in between the authorities and the criminals. The movie is on neither side, as it paints the authorities as corrupt and in cold blooded fashion Lino lets the DEA know that they are not welcome in Mexico. All of which is seen through Laura's eyes as she provides a ground level view of what goes on around her for the viewer, as she becomes little more than a commodity to the criminals with her body(notice how it is described, by the way) used and abused, with little choice in her actions. Even with large amounts of money on the table, she is not really tempted, either, with the exception of a scene in an upscale dress shop. The most important lesson in all of this is to always listen to your parents.

Mobile Accounting Solution Now Available For Online Sellers to Keep Sale and Expense Data Organized -- No Matter Where They Are.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Online sellers are constantly making decisions away from their computers whether deciding to purchase inventory at an auction or choosing their shipping options at USPS. Now, sellers can be better informed when making those decisions. Outright, the leading streamlined, online accounting solution, today announced that it has released a mobile application that online sellers can use on their mobile devices to keep track of sales and expense data while on the go.

"It is critical for our online sellers to be able to manage their businesses from wherever they are, and the Outright Mobile app lets them do just that," said Steven Aldrich, CEO of Outright. "Now, they can make decisions about buying inventory while they are actually in the store, and, in the next version of our app, they will be able to record cash transactions immediately on their mobile device."

According to a recent AT&T survey, 85% of small businesses reported using a smartphone for their business operations. This is more than double the usage five years ago (42%). For those that use mobile apps (30%), the main reasons they cited were to save time, increase productivity and reduce costs. The new Outright app will help them to do all three and will drive an increased usage of mobile apps in small businesses across the nation. The app will allow the business owner to see a complete view of their money available and current balances in bank and credit card accounts so that they can make the best decision on how much to buy and from which account.

"Entrepreneurs need to know if they're profitable or not. I spent years fighting with confusing accounting software, but Outright has simplified this for me," said Outright customer Monaica Ledell, of http://mommybreadwinner.com/. "It's so easy it's addictive. And, now, it's even better with their mobile app, I can see how my business is doing on the go or even on the couch."

The Outright Mobile app is available in the iTunes App Store or at offers.outright.com/mobile. The solution features a business overview/snapshot, account lists and balances, income transactions and details, "In The Know" alerts, and expense transactions and details. "Add / edit" features to allow the input of cash-based transactions will also be launched shortly.

Is federal flood insurance required for a non-conforming loan from ...

Yes, it would be a requirement, if the property is located within a flood zone. The cost of such insurance depends on whether the location is in a 50, 100 or 500 year flood zone. The shorter the period, of course, the higher is the premium. The lender has no choice in the matter.Federally chartered banks are required to impose the flood insurance requirement.

Yes.

Without flood insurance (and there IS no flood insurance for homes, outside of the NFIP), the loan is completely NOT SELLABLE.That means, you can do "owner financing" and not be required to have the insurance, but for BANK loans, you will still need it.

Read the fine print, please, before signing your contract!

if you?re in the Federally designated flood zone, yes

bank may also require it anyway, but then it?ll be cheap, won?t it?

Yes if you are in a flood zone.

Non-conforming loans are a thing of the past.

MADRID (AP) ? Two military planes laden with 17 tons of silver and gold coins scooped up from a Spanish warship that sank during a 1804 gunbattle are back in Spain, ending a 200-year odyssey that took the treasure from an ocean floor to Florida courtrooms.

The planes landed Saturday with the 594,000 coins and other artifacts retrieved after a five-year legal wrangle with the Florida-based salvage company Odyssey Marine Exploration, which had taken the haul to the U.S. in May 2007.

The deep-sea explorers found the treasure in a shipwreck, believed to be Nuestra Senora de las Mercedes, off Portugal's Atlantic coast. British warships had sunk it as it approached Spain from South America.

The coins are estimated at up to $500 million, making the haul one of the richest ever.

Tulisa Cont6ostavlos shuns Miami conventions of size zero to parade her curvaceous bikini body

By Daily Mail Reporter

Last updated at 1:23 AM on 25th February 2012

Despite spending a large chunk of their salary preening themselves with hair extensions, false nails and a face full of slap, most girls actually look cuter with the just-got-out-of-bed vibe.

And Tulisa Contostavlos certainly possesses the charm of the girl next door for that very reason.

Despite sunning herself in Miami, the N-Dubz star shunned the size zero and peroxide blonde conventions to look effortlessly radiant with a natural sunkissed glow in her sequin purple bikini.

Tulisa is currently in the US working on her solo material, so it's no wonder she looked so elated considering she seems to be spending more time on the beach than in the studio.

The X Factor judge was accompanied by loyal PA Gareth Varey who has barely left her side since touching down across the Atlantic.

But despite the smiles, Tulisa will no doubt be disappointed to miss her little muffins Little Mix perform on opening night of the tour tomorrow, which kicks off at Manchester MEN Arena.

Ever since landing in the States, Tulisa has been courting plenty of attention with her myriad of summer dresses and gallivanting around in the sunshine - including a visit to LA sex shop.

And this week has been no exception as Tulisa showed off her enviable figure today at the beach and yesterday, relaxing in a bikini by the pool at her hotel.

The singer, 23, wore a white bikini with brightly coloured tropical flowers as she sunned herself, and certainly appeared to relish picking up a tan the natural way as opposed to her usual spray job.

She showed off her slender waist and flat stomach in the Lipsy bikini as she hung out with friends, enjoying a laid-back afternoon outside.

Tulisa was probably in need of some downtime having spent the morning at the recording studio.

She later left her hotel with a friend wearing a short summery dress sporting a rather garish design.

The two had obviously coordinated their outfits as they both had pink heels on and dresses of a very similar cut, though Tulisa's was far brighter.

Cooling off: Tulisa took a long sip from a drink as she worked on her tan by the hotel pool

In fact, the design was very reminiscent of Versace with its thick gold chains print and a pink tiger's head in the middle of her chest.

On Wednesday, Tulisa continued to top-up her tan by relaxing beside the pool with Gareth.

Prior to their arrival in Miami, where Tulisa is shooting a music video for her first solo single We Are Young, the entourage had been in LA where she was prepping her new album project.

TotalFinder (for Mac)

Essentially a plug-in for the Finder in Mac OS, TotalFinder ($18), compatible with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and 10.7 Lion, adds new ways to see information in the Finder space of your Apple computer. The most visible feature, tabs, adds greater usability and visibility to Finder. Rather than have multiple Finder windows open, you can easily work from one. The application introduces a few other features to enhance the Finder, some very visible and some less so. At $18, TotalFinder seems a bit pricey for a fairly niche plug-in, and the value you can get out of it largely depends on whether you?re a command-line user who will tap into its advanced features.

Basic Features
TotalFinder has four basic features: tabs, dual mode, folders on top, and show system files.

My favorite of the basic features, tabs, is so ridiculously simple I can't believe it isn't already a feature in Apple OS X (and I wonder if it's something we might see as a late addition to Apple OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion). As you'd imagine from the name, the tab feature lets you add tabs to one Finder window rather than opening new ones. TotalFinder enables one window, but multiple spaces for things like the Applications list, Documents, Pictures, Downloads, your Mac home space, or any other directory that you typically want open. Having tabs rather than separate windows makes them all easier to see.

TotalFinder's dual mode takes the tab concept a little further, giving you side-by-side views of two spaces simultaneously. It's like having two tabs open in one space. Dual mode's biggest asset is it enables easier dragging and dropping of files and folders. It's also useful if you typically have more than one Finder window open at once, like if you typically have open one local folder and a second shared folder on a server.

Another basic feature, called "Folders on top," very nearly duplicates the Finder's existing ability to sort by kind. If you sort by kind in Finder, all the folders that are in view will be grouped together, although they won't necessarily appear at the top of the screen. TotalFinder puts them there. The idea is some users want their folders to be foremost visible, while files should fall below. If you like having folders on top, you'll certainly like that TotalFinder still lets you use the "sort by" feature built into Finder and Apple OS X, but keeps folders on top after the sort is complete. In other words, you can sort by file size, and the folders will still take the top slots regardless of their size.

The last of the basic features, show system files, may be more for advanced users than average consumers. Apple OS X hides system files from the end user. Many people don't need or want to know that these files even exist. Those who do know about them and want to get at them can use TotalFinder to toggle to display them without having to restart Finder. If you panic at the thought of accidentally deleting some necessary program file, this is not a feature for you.

Advanced Features
TotalFinder has three additional advanced features: visor, asepsis, and tweaks. If you stopped paying attention to this article halfway through the previous paragraph, I can assure you that these three features will be of little interest. You can skip to the end of the review and decide whether the first three basic features that redesign the Finder display are worth $18.

Visor isn't a really a highly advanced feature, but only advanced users will find the utility in it. TotalFinder's visor makes a Finder space pop up quickly and take up about half the screen when you press a hotkey. It works system wide, and it looks best when you hide Mac's dock (or move it to the side or top instead of the bottom of the screen). The point of visor is to change your workflow, which is why only so-called advanced users will care much about it. Most people know how they work, and it doesn't take much to click on the desktop and press cmd+N to pop open a new Finder window.

Unlike visor, asepsis really is more advanced. It redirects the creation of .DS_Store files, which are tiny files that are created every time you view a folder for which you've changed some of the display options. Most users don't worry about these files. But command-line users can see them and the files can get in the way. So asepsis just throws those files into another location and isolates them from view.

Tweaks, while billed as a feature, doesn't do anything in itself but rather is the section name where you can adjust other TotalFinder settings, such as keyboard shortcuts for TotalFinder and other options.

Value
TotalFinder redisplays the Finder space in Mac in highly useful, albeit fairly minor, ways. Tabs and dual mode make the Finder a neater and tighter space in which to work. The additional features offered in the plug-in likely won't entice average users to pay for it, but more advanced Mac geeks who care about hidden files and where their .DS_Store files are kept may find those features increase TotalFinder's value enough to warrant the $18 price.

The Reasons Why You Should Have Non Owner Car ...

Many people are under the misconception that they are only required to have auto insurance if they own a car, when in fact, it is very important that they have non owner car insurance if they are using a rental vehicle, or are regularly making use of a car that belongs to someone else. In fact, most states require the driver of the vehicle, whether he or she is the owner or not, to have insurance to pay for claims that are made in the event of an accident.Should you be involved in an accident while driving a rented or borrowed car, and you don't have insurance, the insurance company that the owner of the vehicle is insured with, will settle any claims for the amount stated on the policy. However, you as the driver of the vehicle could face legal action from the owner of the car or the insurance company to recover the money that was paid out after the accident. If you have non owner car insurance on the other hand, you will be protected against any such claims.
Acquiring a non owner vehicle insurance is very easy. If you are planning to rent a vehicle, then, as most of these companies offer this type of insurance anyway, you can just arrange to get one from them. The only problem is though, that you will only be protected by the policy while you are driving the vehicle that you rent from them.
It is a much better idea though, to buy your own non owner car insurance, in which case you will be protected all the time, no matter whose vehicle you are driving, if you are involved in an accident. The same applies if you are using a vehicle owned by the company you are employed with.
Many people are making use of public transportation these days, because of the high price of cars, gas, and insurance, rather than getting themselves into debt by purchasing a car. At times, they might need to have the use of a vehicle, in which case they simply borrow one from a friend or family member, or rent one from a vehicle rental company. These people too, even though they only make use of a borrowed or rental vehicle on the odd occasion, need to have non owner car insurance just in case they are involved in an accident.
This type of policy will protect the driver of the borrowed or rental vehicle against liabilities (the financial claims you are responsible for in the event that you injure someone), drivers who are uninsured or underinsured, personal injury, as well as any medical payments. Non owner car insurance is considered to be very basic coverage, and does not include things such as comprehensive or accident damage, compensation for towing costs, and compensation for vehicle rental.
Although it is possible for you to purchase this type of insurance from the vehicle rental company you are dealing with, you will find it more cost-effective if you buy your own non owner car insurance, especially if you make use of a borrowed or rental car frequently during the course of the year.
As far as the cost of a non owner car insurance goes, it all depends on where you live and what type of driving record you have, as well as some other factors that are set by car insurance companies, but it is normally in the region of about $300 to $500 per year. Do note though, that if you are involved in an accident while driving someone else's car, his insurance company will cover all costs up to the limits of his policy, after which your non owner car insurance takes over.

Narrator as Hero | Limebird Writers

I am in the midst of copyediting and critiquing a memoir about a middle-aged man who decided to move in with his twenty-seven-year-old son. This author has a background in education and writes a fantastic observational tale of the ordeal of moving from his large, sprawling house in Georgia to his son?s two-bedroom ranch home in New England. He has a strong command of vocabulary, and he is careful to keep his narrative objective as he describes the setting, his new job, his son?s friends.

Despite the interesting factual plot, I have been feeling like something deeper is missing from his narrative. About twenty pages in, I realized what it was. I?m having trouble connecting to the narrator. I don?t know who this man is, or why I should care about his mid-life crisis at all.

The author is our hero in this memoir. The role of the hero is such that the reader is privy to all his thoughts, ideas, dreams. This helps us to relate to the hero much quicker, more easily.

What do we, as the reader, anticipate when a hero invites us to tag alongside him in his crisis? Don?t we want to see him clearly? Hear his rants? Feel his pain or sorrow? Commiserate with his loneliness, financial burdens, bad luck? Understand his motivations? Root him on to his dreams and goals?

When I bring up comments about the lack of inner story throughout the manuscript, the author gets squeamish. He admittedly is resistant to digging down deep and giving more of his outlook on life, or even, his reasons for moving in with his son and writing about it. He is a teacher first and foremost, and for him to write about himself in his narrative is like visiting a foreign country unable to speak the language.

Maybe I?m barking up the wrong tree, but I?m afraid that without incorporating himself he is missing a beautiful chance to write a book that will stand out from the stacks. When I read a book, I want to connect with the POV character, and in non-fiction such as his the POV character is the author. I want not only to?walk alongside the author as he goes on his daily jaunts, pointing out the various sights of interest, but I want to know what pulls this author forward. I want to know why he?s bothering to share his experience with me, and why should I care?

Outer story might motivate a reader to pick up a book. Inner story is what connects readers to the story and makes them care about what happens from beginning to end. If I want to read his book, it isn?t only because I want to read about a father and son trying to reconnect. It is because I want to read a story that makes a difference to my life in one way or another.

Nokia's social apps coming to Android and iOS: lions expected to lie down with lambs shortly

Nokia's Pulse app looks and smells familiar to anyone who's ever used Google Latitude. The difference being that the Finnish handset maker has the benefit of Navteq's $8 billion geolocation technology that it picked up back in 2008. Now the Haus of Elop is opening a Boston skunkworks that'll port the app, as well as future social software over to Android and iOS. It's part of a wider project to coax users toward Windows Phone by getting them hooked on a suite of features hoped to be "more than the sum of its parts." What do you think dear readers, will it work?

SELF IMPROVEMENT AND Being successful

I remember watching Patch Adams ( space ) its my favorite dvd, actually. Its 1 great film that will assist
you improve your self. Hunter ?patch? Adams is a health student who neglected to make it through the
mother board exams. After many weeks of suffering around melancholy, depression along with suicidal attempts ( space ) he decided
to hunt for medical attention and voluntarily admitted herself in a psychiatric keep. His months of
keep in the hospital led them to meeting backyard garden people. Sick individuals that matter. He met a
catatonic, some sort of mentally retarded, a schizophrenic and so forth. Patch found methods for treating his own
disease and finally realized he needs to get back on track. The guy woke up one evening realizing that after
the many failure and discomforts he has gone through, he still want to end up being the a doctor. He offers with
himself a good attitude that produced him self improvement in addition to success. He didn?t exclusively improved
himself, but also the life of the people all-around him and the daily life. Did he have great results? Needless
to say, he became the best darn doctor his state has ever known.

Thus, when does self improvement become synonymous with achievement? Where do we start off? Take these
guidelines, friends.
*Stop thinking and becoming as if you?re a failure, mainly because you?re not. How can people accept you if YOU
can?t love you?

*When you see hunks and units on TV, think more on self improvement, not do it yourself pitying. Self
acceptance is not only just about having awesome slender legs, or simply great abs. Concentrate on inner beauty.

*When men and women feel so lower and low in relation to themselves, help them move up. Don?t go down with them.
They?ll yank you down further more and both of you will end up feeling inferior.

*The planet is a large room for lessons, definitely not mistakes. Don?t feel dumb and doomed for a long time just
because you bad on a science questions. There?s always a the next occasion. Make rooms with regard to self improvement.

*Take things one-by-one. You don?t expect black sheep?s to remain goody-two-shoes in just a snap involving
a finger. Self improvement is an one day during a period process.

*Self improvement leads to inner stability, style development and look this .. SUCCESS. It all
comes from self confidence, home appreciation and self esteem.

* Set special and achievable aims. Self improvement doesn?t turn that you be the exact copy of
Cameron Diaz or Ron Fiennes. It hopes along with aims to result in an improved and better YOU.

*Little things mean Major to other people. From time to time, we don?t realize that the tiny things that we do
just like a pat on the returning, saying ?hi? or ?hello?, greeting someone ?good day? or showing Mr. Smith
such as ?hey, I love your connect!? are simple things that necessarily mean so much to other folks. When
we?re being grateful about beautiful details around us and others, we also become wonderful
to them.

*When you?re willing to recognize change and browse through the process of self improvement, them doesn?t
mean that everyone else is. The planet is a place where by people of different values and attitude suspend
out. Sometimes, even though you think you and your companion always like to do a similar thing together
at the same time, she?d most likely decline an invitation for self improvement.

We ought to always remember that there?s no these kinds of thing as ?over nighttime success?. Its always a wonderful
experiencing to hold on to the things that you already have now, realizing that those are just on the list of
things you once wished for. A very nice offer says that ?When the student is ready, the teacher will
appear.? We are all listed here to learn our courses. Our parents, faculty teachers, friends, mates,
officemates, neighbors. they are our coaches.

The MOST Important Determinant to Surviving Prostate Cancer, or ...

I know that medical and other forms of treatments are very important for prostate cancer, but I think that the most important determinant for surviving prostate cancer is different from these. Many people might not agree with me, but I have seen lots of cases where people survived cancer not really because of the medical treatments they used but because? wait for it? they BELIEVED STRONGLY that they would survive the conditions.

So, as far as I am concerned, the single, most important determinant to surviving prostate cancer or any other type of cancer, for that matter, is the STRONG BELIEVE and conviction that one would survive. You see, no matter how effective the prostate cancer treatment and medication happen to be, if the person has no will to live, he or she won?t live. So ? beyond the treatment, the individual has to also have the strong believe and conviction that they will survive the condition. Such strong believe and condition will do wonders for such a person.

Many people who once had prostate cancer testify to the incredibly huge importance and power of people in helping with their own healing, re cancer. People who were given very limited prognosis and who were thought to surely die within a short time from prostate cancer eventually survived it.

So ? you should never feel dejected or down because you have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and given a limited prognosis. If you work hard on making your believe and conviction very strong that you will survive the condition, there are more chances, than not, that you WILL. Didn?t one wise man say ?If you think you CAN or you can?t, you are right! You should make the resolve to be among those that have survived prostate cancer and you will be surprised that you WILL.

Learn about Prostate Cancer More Tests Diagnosis or even about other information about Prostate Cancer More Condition Symptoms from the insightful prostate cancer website ? [http://ProstateCancerVictory.com] which contains incredibly powerful information on surviving and becoming victorious from Prostate Cancer.

(AP) ? Police opened fire with tear gas Saturday on a commercial avenue in Senegal's capital, as security forces wrapped up early voting in a contentious presidential race.

It marks the fourth straight day of protests before next week's critical election, which is pitting the country's 85-year-old president against a young opposition demanding his departure. The increasingly tense atmosphere on the ground has many concerned there may be unrest if President Abdoulaye Wade is declared the winner of the vote.

On Saturday morning, the country's 23,000-strong security force including police and military, lined up to vote early. European Union observers said the ballots had arrived on time and voting proceeded calmly.

The normally bustling capital of Senegal has been disrupted by protests every few days since January when the country's highest court ruled that Wade could be a candidate in this month's election. Just months shy of his 86th birthday, Wade is seeking another seven-year term in a nation where most people don't live past the age of 60.

If he wins, it would be his third term, even though he oversaw a revision to the constitution in 2001 imposing a two-term limit.

Shopkeepers pulled down metal grills to protect their businesses as the blast of tear gas being fired resonated in the capital's downtown core. The vendors that hawk their wares on the street hurried to pack up their goods.

Four people have been killed since the protests began, a death toll that is small compared to the election violence that recently gripped Ivory Coast, Guinea, Nigeria and Congo, but high for Senegal which has long been seen as a model of tolerance and stability.

Late Friday, police attempting to disperse a crowd launched a tear gas grenade inside a mosque belonging to the Tidiane Muslim "confrerie," or brotherhood. Enraged worshippers ran outside.

Senegalese TV showed an officer who braved the cloud of gas in order to kick away the spewing canister from the door of the mosque, in order to calm the anger.

The country's Muslim brotherhoods hold enormous sway, and on Saturday, Interior Minister Ousmane Ngom traveled to Tivaouane, home of the Tidiane's khalife, religious leader. A mob of angry youths encircled the house of the khalife, as Ngom was inside, according to Ngom's spokesman Mbaye Thiam who was reached by telephone in Dakar.

The state-owned news service said that the youths were preventing Ngom from leaving and that they had also set fire to a government building nearby.

A Simple Outline On How To Pay Less on Childcare Services | New ...

Parenting requires time and sacrificing money. Raising a family is expensive, but basic necessities are reasonable, such as formula, diapers and clothes. Childcare is a major expense for parents who work outside of the home. For this reason, couples are looking for ways on how to save money on daycare services.

Employees should check with employers about reimbursement programs for preschool expenses. Businesses know that childcare is expensive and want to help parents who work with their company. They are willing to pay a percentage of the expense to making working outside of the home a little easier. Some business will take it a step further and provide on-site preschool facilities.

Many communities provide a variety of childcare options to local residents. These opportunities are available at community centers, state programs and local schools. The programs are usually free or charge an affordable price.

Some parents can feel alone when needing someone to watch their kids, but they are not alone. Other parents are going through the same experience. Families can ask neighbors and friends about swapping babysitting services. People who are home in the mornings can watch the children for parents who work during the day and the same for those who need help at night.

Telecommuting is becoming popular and an option for families. This option can save on childcare expenses and allow parents to spend more time with their children. People who are interested in telecommuting can ask their employer about making the transition to working from home.

Families with several kids can save by using a home-based preschool provider. Preschool businesses charge a price for each child that uses the facility. Many home-based providers are willing to give a discount when keeping several children for a family.

Two parent homes can possibly save on daycare when having a flexible schedule. Wives can work a different shift from their husband. When working different shifts, one parent can watch the children during the day and the other can watch them at night.

Family members are willing help when knowing that the couple is working hard to raise their family. Retired grandmothers are willing to watch the kids for a few hours each week and possibly for free. Siblings are another option for a sitter and babysitting services can be traded.

Two salaries are necessary for surviving and taking care of a family. Childcare can really cut into the finances and leave couples trying to find ways to save. There are solutions for couples who work outside of the home and need someone to watch their kids. How to save money on daycare services is about finding an affordable and safe place to leave your kids.

Broadband services will be quite expensive if you don?t use the Verizon fios promotion codes here to a point where you may not be able to pay for everything and the daycare services. Use the coupons immediately if you don?t want to fall behind on your bills.

Qatar celebrates sports, not valentines | The Daily Q

By Aamena Ahmed

?

Students at all six universities in Education City celebrated the country?s first National Sports Day with the rest of Qatar on Tuesday, taking advantage of the holiday, which celebrates active and healthy lifestyles, to host tournaments in such sports as bowling, table tennis, basketball and volleyball.

?

?The idea was to display just a glimpse of our daily activities at the Recreation Center,? said the Supervisor of the Recreation Center, Alex Rosca, who, in collaboration with Hamad bin Khalifa University (HKBU) student center staff, organized the events.

?

?It is also a great way to get people to adapt sports to their daily activities and showcase student talent,? said Curt Kenoyer, director of the HKBU student center.

?

National Sports Day was officially declared a holiday by the ruler Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. ?Many consider Qatar?s initiative?the sports holiday replaces Valentine?s Day this year?as part of its drive to be a global leader in the sports arena and also a milestone in its fight against rising obesity rates in the tiny Gulf sheikhdom.

?

According to Ellen Wartella, professor of Human Development and Social Policy at Northwestern University, Qatar has the sixth highest obesity rates ?in the world.

?

At the event, EC staff, students and their families participated in many activities, including ?table tennis, bowling competitions, badminton tournaments, basketball and volleyball playoffs throughout the day.

?

Ahmed and Ibrahim Al-Hershi, 14-year-old twins, won the basketball finals. They said their victory was achieved through the skills they learned from their coach.

?

?He taught us offensive and defensive techniques really well,? said Ahmed Al-Hershi.

?

?This is a great way for kids to take part in sports and enjoy themselves,? said their coach, Bryan Rowsom, a former NBA professional basketball player who now works at the Al Rayyan Sports Club.

?

?It instills the love for sports and living healthy from an early age,? added Sonia Ben Slimane, a staff member at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar.

?

After three weeks of planning, Sports Day in EC capped off its activities by showcasing a soccer match, a marital arts performance and dance and gymnastic acts.

?

?Everyone gathered here today? people of all ages ? just to celebrate an active lifestyle,? said Kate Abellanes, a volunteer for the event.
